UAE Passport, ID Issuance & Renewal Services Reduced to One Step
These services have been streamlined in order to make the process more convenient for customers.
The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) has announced significant improvements in the processing of passports and IDs for Emiratis, as well as residency permits for expatriates.
Previously involving four steps, these services are now streamlined to just one, simplifying the application process. Many unnecessary fields in service requests have been eliminated, and required attachments have been reduced, making the process more straightforward. Moreover, ICP has introduced smart payment channels such as Apple Pay and Google Pay.
The move is part of the UAE’s Zero Government Bureaucracy programme, which seeks to eliminate redundant government procedures and requirements.
