Umrah Exit Deadline Set for April 18th With Penalties

Saudi authorities have introduced measures to speed up the departure of Umrah pilgrims and set an exit deadline of April 18th, warning that anyone who remains in the Kingdom beyond this date will face penalties. The guidance comes as monitoring is stepped up ahead of the Hajj season to ensure compliance with visa regulations.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah advised pilgrims to coordinate with their Umrah companies to confirm travel schedules, complete accommodation check-out procedures, and arrange timely transfers. Travellers were also urged to reach the airport at least four hours before departure to avoid delays.

The Ministry of Interior stated that overstaying the visa deadline will lead to fines, imprisonment, and deportation. It warned citizens and residents against assisting violators, noting that transporting, employing, sheltering, or helping pilgrims who overstay will trigger legal action. Umrah service providers were instructed to report any cases of overstaying or face financial penalties.
