Workshop Hosted in Dubai to Promote Expansion of Gaming Sector
The Dubai Programme for Gaming 2033 aims to create 30,000 new jobs by 2033.
Dubai Chambers, in collaboration with the Dubai Future Foundation, hosted a workshop to explore new opportunities and growth prospects for the gaming sector in the emirate.
The workshop was held as part of the Dubai Programme for Gaming 2033, a government-led initiative aimed at making Dubai one of the world’s top 10 gaming hubs, creating 30,000 new jobs, and boosting the sector’s contribution to Dubai’s GDP by AED 1 billion by 2033.
Key players in the gaming industry, including developers, hardware experts, AI specialists, and sales and marketing professionals, discussed strategies to drive the sector's growth and consolidate Dubai’s global competitiveness against more established markets.
During the workshop, the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy highlighted the importance of the upcoming edition of Expand North Star, the world’s largest event for startups and investors, for the gaming sector. The conference will take place at Dubai Harbour from October 13th to the 16rth.
The workshop also featured a panel discussion with representatives from the Dubai Future Foundation, focusing on enhancing governing frameworks for the industry and allocating resources to promote the sector efficiently.
