Zayed Sustainability Prize Opens Submissions for 2026 Cycle
This marks its 17th year recognising and rewarding sustainability leaders, with a prize fund of USD 5.9 million.

The Zayed Sustainability Prize, has opened submissions for its next cycle, with a prize fund of USD 5.9 million. This marks its 17th year recognising and rewarding sustainability leaders.
First established in 2008, the prize is the UAE’s global award which rewards small to medium non-profit organisations and global secondary schools exhibiting a commitment to innovation and sustainability. The prize has already awarded 128 winners.
Applications can be submitted in multiple languages to the following categories: Health, Food, Energy, Water, Climate Action and Global High Schools. Winners of the High Schools category will receive USD 150,000 whilst winners of other categories will receive USD 1 million to expand their projects.
Competition for the prize continues to increase, with submissions for the last cycle reaching 5980 from 156 countries. Applications for this year’s prize will close in June, and the winners will be revealed at an awards ceremony in 2026.
