Artisan Bakery Fornalia Just Gave the Lolita an Artisanal Upgrade
Fornalia's Lolitas are made without artificial food colouring and come in flavours that feel decidedly more late 2000s: Matcha, Coffee, White Mocha and Dark Mocha.
If you grew up in Egypt, chances are your mum had at least one thing to say about Lolita ice cream. Usually, it involved too much sugar, too many artificial colours, and a firm "no" before you could even finish asking.
Fornalia has decided to rewrite that childhood memory.
Known for its artisan sourdough breads, viennoiserie and pastries, the bakery has just launched its own take on the nostalgic summer ice cream. Instead of fluorescent colours and heavily processed ingredients, Fornalia's Lolitas are made without artificial food colouring and come in flavours that feel decidedly more late 2000s: Matcha, Coffee, White Mocha and Dark Mocha.
Fornalia's Lolitas are now available at its branches in Zamalek, New Cairo's Sway Mall, Madinaty's Strip Mall and the Greek Campus.
