Ayadina Celebrates 13 Years of Lebanese Ramadan Nights

Some Ramadan spots pop up for a season and disappear. Ayadina has been here for 13 years.

The Lebanese restaurant marks its 13th consecutive Ramadan in Egypt this year, leaning into what it does best: heritage recipes, generous buffets and an atmosphere rooted in tradition rather than trend. For 2026, the setting has been completely refreshed with Baroque-inspired décor, adding ornate detailing and warm lighting that frame the bustle of the Ramadan iftar open buffet.

The experience still centres on food. Ayadina’s philosophy, ‘Made by Ayadina’, focuses on dishes prepared in-house with a clear Lebanese identity. The iftar buffet moves through familiar favourites like Tabbouleh and Fattoush before arriving at heartier mains, including grilled meats and kofta with tahini alongside other classic dishes. The meal rounds out with a dessert spread that leans into Ramadan staples such as kunafa, Om Ali and Batata Bechamel alongside other traditional sweets.

It’s not just about what’s on the plate. Oud and takht musicians provide a live soundtrack throughout the evening, adding to the layered, festive energy of the space. Between the music, the buffet and the steady hum of families gathering after sunset, the atmosphere feels closer to a traditional Ramadan night than a typical commercial tent.

This season also puts the spotlight on Ayadina’s Madinaty branch, particularly for sohour. Unlike the other locations, which offer a set menu, Madinaty serves a full open buffet late into the night, complete with live stations preparing foul, falafel and saj. Tanoura performances and live oud music during sohour add to the experience, while the open-air setting gives the evening a slower, more relaxed rhythm, making it a destination in its own right.
