Breadfast Coffee is Now Open at the Pyramids
It is, objectively, surreal. But also: this is Cairo. Of course you can get an Americano with a pyramid in the background.
Breadfast - the brand that built an empire by delivering groceries, shampoo, dish soap, and the occasional life-saving iced latte to your doorstep in under twelve minutes - has officially set up shop at the Pyramids of Giza. Yes. Those pyramids. The ones that have survived wars, weather, civilisation, and TikTok tourists. And now: drive-through flat whites.
Side note: the “twelve minutes” is based entirely on personal experience and should not be taken as a legally binding promise. Our bananas have never arrived late; we cannot speak for yours.
What began as a delivery app quietly evolved into a chain of cafés and drive-throughs, gradually expanding the definition of “necessity” until it included cold brew, almond croissants, and whatever psychological comfort comes from ordering both at 8:13 AM. Opening at the foot of the pyramids is simply the logical next step for a brand that has never once hesitated to deliver lentils to someone standing outside their own front door.
Cairo has responded to the news in predictable fashion: half the city is thrilled, the other half is wondering whether Khufu ever imagined a future where his monument would share a skyline with a barista calling out “one Spanish latte for Youssef.” Meanwhile, Breadfast seems entirely unfazed. They now operate beside one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World as if it were a natural extension of their delivery radius.
It is, objectively, surreal. But also: this is Cairo. Of course you can get an Americano with a pyramid in the background.
