Khufu’s Named Best Restaurant in Egypt & MENA for 2026

At the 2026 MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants, Khufu’s did what very few restaurants anywhere can claim to do: it won everything. The Giza-based restaurant was named The Best Restaurant in Egypt 2026 and The Best Restaurant in the Middle East & North Africa 2026, with the awards sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna.

Khufu’s sits inside the Giza Pyramid Complex, which means dinner comes with a clear view of the pyramids and zero ambiguity about where you are. It’s one of the rare cases where the setting risks overshadowing the food - and then doesn’t.

The restaurant is part of the Pier 88 Group, joining the group’s earlier concepts while keeping its own rhythm. In the kitchen, executive chef Mostafa Seif works through a menu grounded in rural Egyptian cooking, shaped by memory rather than nostalgia. The result is food that feels familiar without being literal.
