Ahmed Helmy & Hend Sabry Film to Premiere at Marrakech Festival
‘Ad’af Khal’o’ will have its world premiere at the Marrakech International Film Festival this November.
‘Ad’af Khal’o’, starring Ahmed Helmy and Hend Sabry, will have its world premiere at the 23rd Marrakech International Film Festival, running from November 20th to 28th.
Directed by Omar Hilal, the feature has been selected for the festival’s celebratory screenings programme and marks the first on-screen collaboration between Helmy and Sabry.
Set in 2007 at Giza Zoo, the film follows a zoologist played by Helmy as he faces mounting financial and family pressures. Sabry plays his wife, who is trying to hold the family together, while Karim Kassem appears as Helmy’s brother. The film combines drama, suspense and comedy.
‘Ad’af Khal’o’ follows Helmy’s 2022 film ‘Wahed Tani’, which co-starred Ruby, Sayed Ragab, Amr Abdel Gelil, Nesreen Amin and Nour Ehab.
Helmy is also set to appear in ‘Hadouta’, co-starring Amina Khalil, which is scheduled for release on November 11th.
