Tarek Al Arian Will Tackle Teenage Love in ‘Al Selem Wel Teaban 3'
The exhibitions will be open until 9pm on Saturday, April 4th.
Director Tarek El Arian has confirmed a third sequel to his film ‘Al Selem Wel Teaban’, this installment exploring teenage romance between 16- and 18-year-olds. The announcement comes months after the release of ‘Al Selem Wel Teaban 2’ (2025), which hit theatres and streamed on Yango Play during Eid Al Fitr, sparking widespread controversy.
The second film, starring Amr Youssef and Asmaa Galal, follows a married couple as the husband navigates a “midlife crisis.” Its depiction of a stewardess and pilot in a sexualized context prompted an official statement from EgyptAir condemning the portrayal.
The trilogy follows the legacy of the original ‘Al Selem Wel Teaban’ (2001), a romantic hit starring Hani Salama and Hala Shiha. Details about the third chapter are still under wraps.
