Three films supported by the Red Sea Film Foundation have been selected for the official programme of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, which runs from September 2nd to September 12th.

'Conversation with the Sea', directed by Muayad Alayan, and 'Guria', directed by Levan Koguashvili, have both been selected for the festival's Venice Spotlight section. Meanwhile, 'House of the Wind', directed by August Bernard Cuimo Yangho, will compete in the Horizons section, which highlights new and emerging filmmaking voices.

Beyond the official selections, the foundation will support eight additional projects through the festival's industry programme. Three projects have been selected for the Venice Gap-Financing Market, while five of the six films in development chosen for the Final Cut in Venice programme are backed by the foundation.

In total, the Red Sea Film Foundation will support 11 films and projects across this year's festival and its accompanying industry platform, reflecting its continued investment in film production and development from the Arab world, Africa and Asia.
