Zawya Cinema is Screening the 1981 Classic 'A Dinner Date'
This special screening complements Zawya's new podcast, 'A Date With', which delves into the classic 1981 film.
Zawya Cinema is hosting a special screening of the 1981 film, 'A Dinner Date' ('Moaed Ala El Asha'), to mark two episodes of their latest podcast hosted by Yomna Khattab and Karim El Dalil, 'A Date With'.
Funded by the European Union in collaboration with EUNIC, the 'A Date With' podcast is an examination of the Egyptian films that have stayed with audiences long after their debut on the big screen. The hosts dive into the film's characters, dialogue and cinematography, picking apart the details and emotions that make them so memorable.
The first season of the podcast is centred around the film, 'A Dinner Date'. Directed by Mohamed Khan and starring Soad Hosny, Hussein Fahmy and Ahmed Zaki, 'A Dinner Date' follows a divorced woman who decides to marry her hairdresser, before her ex-husband finds out and decides to intervene. The screening will take place on Thursday, June 18th at 7:00 PM. Tickets will be announced soon through Zawya Cinema's Instagram page.
