Zsá Zsá Is a Creative Family Story Told Between Egypt and Wales

Creativity runs deep in the James family. From photography and philanthropy to architecture, art, design and decorating, Emma, Sophie, Lucy and their mother Louise James have long shared a passion for making and collecting. Those creative endeavours came together in Zsá Zsá, a homeware brand rooted between the warmth of Egypt and the Welsh hills, reflecting a family life lived between the two.

They grew up surrounded by paintings, textiles, colour, pattern and objects gathered over time. And that is where an instinct for bringing disparate pieces together and a love for the handmade and the stories behind it came from.

The name Zsá Zsá honours their first landlady in Cairo, whose warmth and generosity made an unfamiliar city feel like home. Today, most of the family calls Wales home, while one remains in Cairo, a city they all remain closely connected to. Zsá Zsá lives between these two places, bringing together artwork, textiles and objects discovered, designed and made across both countries, pairing old with new, precious with everyday, and one culture alongside another.

For now, Zsá Zsá is available to ship from the UK, bringing a taste of Cairene warmth to your table and a little of its colour and character into the home.
