Ministry of Culture Launches Metaverse Platform Celebrating Heritage

A new platform launched by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Culture allows users to step into the rich history of the Kingdom. Using metaverse technology, this ‘Cultural Universe’ traces Saudi history and culture from the founding of the first Saudi state in 1727 to the present day. This platform is a celebration of Saudi culture, and immerses visitors in the country’s arts, architecture, literature, design, theater, cuisine, and more.
This experience is interactive and customizable, with options for building avatars, adjusting graphics, and more. In addition to giving visitors a chance to learn about the history of Saudi Arabia, visitors can also learn about the Ministry of Culture and its affiliated entities, gaining an inside look at the Kingdom’s continuously evolving cultural heritage.
