Benihana Brings Teppanyaki Theatre to Ibn Battuta Dubai

On the ground floor of Oaks Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel Dubai, steel teppan grills spark to life as chefs bounce, flip and crack eggs with metal spatulas—a familiar piece of Benihana's teppanyaki theatre now making its debut in Ibn Battuta.

The Japanese restaurant has officially opened Benihana Ibn Battuta at the hotel, which is owned by Seven Tides International and operated by Minor Hotels.

At the heart of the experience are Benihana's live teppanyaki stations, where chefs prepare meals on traditional steel grills while performing the knife skills and egg-juggling routines that have become synonymous with the brand. Beyond the theatrics, the menu features dishes including Japanese A5 Wagyu Teppanyaki, alongside sushi, sashimi and signature rolls such as the Godzilla Roll, topped with lightly torched wagyu beef, truffle sauce and edible gold flakes.

The restaurant also introduces a dedicated Shabu Shabu menu, centred around communal hot pots with dashi broth, marbled beef, fresh vegetables and classic dipping sauces. An open seafood and sushi bar complements the wider Japanese menu, while tableside seating is designed for everything from family gatherings to birthday celebrations and dinners with friends.

The 95-seat venue is open daily from 12 pm to 11 pm, with live teppanyaki performances running from 6:30 pm until 11 pm. Reservations are now available as Benihana brings its six-decade-old dining concept to a new address in Dubai.
