Cairo Airport Passenger Traffic Rises 9% in August 2026

Cairo International Airport handled 3,133,767 passengers in August 2026, up 9% from 2,869,522 during the same month last year.

Flight movements also increased, reaching 22,053 in August compared with 19,895 in August 2025, representing year-on-year growth of 11%. The figures cover operations from August 1st to 31st and point to continued growth in traffic through Egypt’s largest airport.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation have continued work on operational performance and service improvements as passenger and flight volumes increase.

Cairo Airport Company is also working to expand operational capacity and upgrade services in response to the rise in traffic, while maintaining safety and operating standards.
