Children Under 18 to Get 50% Off UAE Etihad Rail Fares

As excitement builds around the UAE's first passenger rail service, Etihad Rail has released its passenger fare and refund policy, offering discounted travel for children and senior citizens. Children under 18 will receive 50% off standard fares, while passengers aged 60 and above are eligible for a 20% discount. Infants under two can travel free when seated on an accompanying adult's lap. Adult fares are also currently available at a 50% introductory launch discount, with Comfort Class tickets starting from Dh55 and Premium Class from Dh120.

The operator has also outlined how ticket changes and cancellations will work across its Saver, Value and Flex fare categories. Saver and Value tickets are non-refundable, while Flex passengers can receive a full refund if they cancel more than 24 hours before departure, with later cancellations incurring a 30% fee. Travellers can manage bookings through the Etihad Rail website, mobile app, ticket vending machines or customer service, although route changes will not be permitted regardless of fare type.
