Dubai Authority Issues Over 1 Million New Residence Permits in H1 2026
GDRFA Dubai also issued more than 5 million entry permits and 66,000 Golden Visas during the first half of 2026.
The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) issued 1,051,978 new residence permits during the first half of 2026, alongside 66,000 Golden Visas, according to figures released by the authority.
Between January and June 2026, GDRFA Dubai also processed 5,078,078 entry permits, covering visitors and tourists, while 910,552 residence permits were renewed during the same period.
The authority reported a 95% customer happiness rate, adding that all services were completed within four minutes, reflecting what it described as a high level of operational efficiency in processing applications and service requests.
Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, said reducing bureaucracy remains a strategic priority for the authority, alongside improving customer experience through higher service standards and greater adoption of innovative solutions.
According to Al Marri, GDRFA Dubai will continue expanding its smart transformation initiatives, advancing innovation-led projects and streamlining procedures as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the delivery of government services.
