Dubai Named World’s Most Photographed City

Dubai has been named the world's most photographed city in the latest Players Time Instagrammability Score report, earning a perfect score of 100 in the global rankings.

According to the report, the city has been tagged 147 million times on Instagram and more than 43 million times on TikTok, generating a combined total of over 190 million social media posts. Dubai also records around 3.43 million monthly Google searches.

The 2026 ranking is led largely by major urban destinations, with London and Paris following Dubai. London recorded the highest volume of social media hashtags at 192.2 million posts, while Barcelona emerged as the most searched destination in the dataset with 23 million monthly Google searches. New York City and Istanbul also featured among the top-ranked cities.

In the report's separate ranking of global landmarks, Burj Khalifa was named the world's most tagged and most searched landmark, with 10.1 million Instagram posts and more than 1.1 million monthly Google searches.

The report found that Burj Khalifa's search volume was more than double that of the Eiffel Tower, while other highly photographed landmarks included Shibuya Scramble Crossing in Tokyo, Times Square in New York City and the Brooklyn Bridge's DUMBO viewpoint.
