Dubai Police Handle 1,844 Rescue Missions in Q1 2026

Search and rescue teams completed 1,844 missions across Dubai during the first quarter of 2026, according to Dubai Police. The operations were led by the General Department of Transport and Rescue and covered a range of emergency and support tasks.

These included 96 incident responses and 105 transportation assignments, as well as eight rescues involving vehicles stuck in sand. Teams also carried out 675 vehicle removals from roads and handled 288 door-opening cases involving vehicles, homes, and lifts. In addition, they supported 237 event security assignments throughout the quarter.
Further activities included six training scenarios simulating different types of incidents and 31 specialised missions, alongside other field operations.
Officials said the figures reflect ongoing efforts to strengthen response systems through training, coordination, and operational readiness. Training programmes included simulations of entrapments, traffic accidents, fires, and falls, designed to test performance under real-world conditions and improve decision-making during emergencies.
