Egypt’s Pavilion Returns to Cannes Film Festival

Egypt is heading back to the Cannes Film Festival.

From May 12th to the 23rd, the Egyptian Pavilion will return to the Marché du Film, taking place on the Pantiero overlooking the old port in Cannes. Representing Egypt at the International Village, it’s the global meeting point for national cinemas, film commissions, festivals, producers, and industry bodies.

The Pavilion will be Egypt’s home on the Croisette: a meeting point for filmmakers to connect, pitch, learn, and plug into the global industry. For international guests, it opens a window onto Egypt’s evolving film industry, bringing together established auteurs, production houses, and emerging voices under one roof.

The Pavilion is backed by its three institutional founding partners: Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF), Egypt Film Commission (EFC), and El Gouna Film Festival (GFF). This year also marks a broader industry push, with partners including Drosos Foundation, Film Clinic, Film Square, Focus Film Rentals, and Red Star Films joining the initiative.

Across ten days, the Egyptian Pavilion will host a dynamic programme of panels, roundtables, networking events, and receptions, spotlighting the questions, challenges, and opportunities shaping Egyptian and Arab cinema today.
