Egyptian Actor Abdelrahman Abo Zahra Passes Away at Age 92

Veteran Egyptian actor Abdelrahman Abo Zahra has reportedly passed away at the age of 92 after a struggle with illness, marking the end of one of the most enduring careers in Egyptian cinema, television and theatre.

Across more than six decades, Abo Zahra became a fixture of Egyptian screens through iconic roles in works like ‘Lan A’eesh Fi Gelbab Aby’, ‘Hob El Banat’ and ‘Ard El Khof’, while also becoming the unmistakable Arabic voice behind Scar in Disney’s The Lion King.
