'Housing for All Egyptians' Developer Deadline Extended

The Ministry of Housing has extended the application deadline for private-sector developers seeking to participate in the ‘Housing for All Egyptians’ programme by 15 days, setting a new deadline of June 14th.

According to the ministry, the extension was introduced because the original May 30th deadline coincided with the Eid Al-Adha holiday period.

The programme was opened to private-sector participation on April 30th, marking the first time developers have been invited to take part in the initiative. Officials said 22 companies had already submitted applications, while additional firms expressed interest in joining the programme.

Launched under a presidential initiative focused on affordable housing, the scheme aims to deliver approximately 19,000 housing units across more than 383 acres in eight new cities.

The targeted locations include Hadayek October, New Sohag, Sadat City and New Assiut, among other urban developments.

The programme is designed to provide housing for low-income residents through partnerships between the government and private-sector developers.
