Kichi Kichi Omurice Legend to Make Dubai Debut With Mr. Brisket

Chef Motokichi Yukimura, the chef behind Kyoto’s Kichi Kichi Omurice and its widely shared tableside performances, will make his UAE debut with a limited pop-up at Mr. Brisket in Dubai during the first week of October.

Hosted at Mr. Brisket’s Jumeirah location, the collaboration will pair Yukimura’s Japanese omurice with the Dubai restaurant’s slow-smoked meats through a multi-course menu developed by three chefs.

Yukimura is known for preparing the dish as a tableside performance, complete with pan flips and the signature moment in which a soft omelette is sliced open over seasoned rice. The same presentation will form part of the Dubai pop-up.

For the collaboration, the traditional omurice format will be adapted with smoked-meat elements from Mr. Brisket, bringing together Japanese comfort food and the restaurant’s barbecue-focused menu.

Availability will be limited, reflecting the small-scale service associated with Kichi Kichi Omurice in Kyoto. Reservations must be made in advance through the booking link in Mr. Brisket UAE’s official Instagram bio.
