King Salman Relief Center to Open Field Schools for Gaza Students

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has signed a joint executive programme with the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage to establish field schools for children in the Gaza Strip.

The agreement, signed via video conference by Eng. Ahmed Al-Baiz and Dr. Essam Fathi Abu Khalil, outlines plans to create safe learning spaces for 1,000 students alongside psychological and social support services.

The programme is designed to provide a structured educational environment for children whose schooling has been disrupted, with a focus on restoring learning continuity and improving study conditions.

According to KSrelief, the initiative will combine classroom-based learning with targeted psychosocial support, addressing both academic gaps and the broader impact of crisis conditions on students.

The field schools will operate under a coordinated framework between both organisations, covering implementation, service delivery and ongoing support for beneficiaries.

The initiative forms part of broader efforts to respond to education needs in crisis-affected areas, with a focus on maintaining access to learning and supporting the wellbeing of children in the Gaza Strip.
