One Killed & Eight Injured in Attack on Dammam Airport
The attack caused material damage at King Fahd International Airport, while coalition forces intercepted four drones in the Eastern Province.
One expatriate was killed and eight others were injured in an attack on King Fahd International Airport in Dammam on October 21st, according to the General Authority of Civil Aviation.
The injured sustained wounds ranging from minor to severe and were transferred to hospitals for treatment. The authority also reported material damage at the airport and said assessments were underway, with further updates to be issued as more information becomes available.
Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki, spokesperson for the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, said coalition forces intercepted and destroyed four drones launched towards Saudi Arabia, including drones targeting the Eastern Province.
The incident comes amid a series of recent attacks targeting Saudi aviation infrastructure, including previous strikes on airports in Riyadh and Abha earlier this month.
