Qiwa Sets SAR 100 Work Permit Fee for Premium Residency Holders

Premium Residency holders in Saudi Arabia are required to obtain a dedicated work permit through Qiwa at a cost of SAR 100, according to the digital labour platform operated by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.

Qiwa said subscription fees for businesses using the platform vary depending on the size of the establishment and are calculated based on the total number of employees registered under its unified number.

The platform also confirmed that training contracts under the Tamheer programme can be documented through Qiwa. However, these contracts are not counted toward Saudisation targets or existing requirements related to employment contract documentation.

Users can pay service fees through bank cards, SADAD payment numbers or the Qiwa digital wallet. On employment procedures, Qiwa stated that employees may withdraw a resignation request within seven days if the employer has neither accepted nor postponed a decision during that period.

Notice periods, it added, are determined by the terms agreed upon in individual employment contracts and may differ from one employee to another.

The platform also clarified that visa information cannot be amended after a visa has been issued.

In cases where incorrect details have been entered, the existing visa must be cancelled and a new one issued with the correct information.
