RTA Expands AI Operations Through Dubai Control Centre
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority is increasing its use of AI to monitor digital infrastructure and transport services.
The Roads and Transport Authority is expanding the use of artificial intelligence across its digital operations and services through the Technology Operation Control Centre in Dubai, a centralised hub designed to monitor infrastructure, systems, and service continuity around the clock.
According to the authority, the Technology Operation Control Centre operates through an integrated model overseeing technical infrastructure, applications, databases, cybersecurity alignment, and technical support services. The facility includes a 24-hour IT Support Centre responsible for maintaining service continuity alongside an Operations Monitoring Centre that tracks system performance in real time to detect faults and operational issues before they escalate.
RTA stated that the centre’s infrastructure supports the operation and monitoring of more than 200 server-hosting units across data centres while handling more than 500 support requests daily through a continuous operations framework. The authority added that the centre recently underwent upgrades aimed at modernising its operational environment and improving the efficiency of facilities and technical systems in accordance with international data centre management standards.
According to RTA, the upgrades contributed to the facility receiving Tier III international classification, a benchmark measuring data centre reliability, operational readiness, and service continuity.
