Saudi Arabia Activates AI Operations Centres for Hajj

Saudi Arabia’s Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority has activated its Mobile Operations Centres in Mina ahead of the 2026 Hajj season, with operations beginning on May 23rd.

The centres are designed to support government agencies working across the holy sites by improving response times and strengthening operational decision-making through real-time data analysis and monitoring systems.

According to the authority, the deployment creates an integrated operational environment that enables participating agencies to monitor field performance instantly across Mina and surrounding locations during peak pilgrimage activity.

The centres are equipped with smart cameras, interactive control systems and cybersecurity infrastructure connected to the authority’s central digital network.

The system uses artificial intelligence and advanced analytics to integrate operational data from multiple government entities in order to improve coordination and support rapid responses to changing field conditions.

Officials said the centres are intended to provide continuous situational awareness by linking field teams with central operational systems through real-time data flows and monitoring tools.

The deployment also enables authorities to track operational indicators instantly during high-density movements throughout the holy sites.
