Visitors will be able to explore rescue vehicles and learn about marine conservation efforts on June 5th.
A public marine conservation event is set to take place at Yas Marina on June 5th as part of World Environment Day activities, offering visitors an opportunity to learn about wildlife rescue operations and marine ecosystems in the UAE.
Organised by the Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue Center in partnership with Yas Marina, the programme will feature a display of rescue equipment used in marine response operations, including a van, pickup truck and jet ski stationed along the waterfront. Visitors will be able to meet rescue specialists, learn how the equipment is used during operations and take part in educational sessions focused on marine life rescue and conservation efforts.
Students from Aldar schools are expected to participate throughout the day as part of the programme's educational activities.
Families and younger visitors will also have the opportunity to meet Sakina the Dugong, a live character from SeaWorld Yas Island Abu Dhabi, while interactive workshops and hands-on activities are scheduled across the marina.
The programme will continue on June 8th to mark World Ocean Day through a series of activations at SeaWorld Yas Island Abu Dhabi and the Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue Center. These activities will include interactive stations exploring coastal ecosystems found across the region, including mangroves, seagrass habitats and coral reefs, with a focus on biodiversity and marine conservation.
Registration for the World Environment Day event is available through the Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue Center.
