Beirut's AHM has been Rebuilt as the Region's Largest Multi-Room Club

Beirut’s legendary AHM club, a staple in Lebanon’s nightlife scene for over 10 years now, has recently reopened this summer, following a four-year closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the aftermath of the catastrophic 2020 explosion of the city center.

Rebuilt through a collaboration between AHM mother company and Beirut-based creative studio Factory People and award-winning Lebanese design house, Carl Gerges Architects, the club is relaunching as the region’s largest multi-room club, boasting three spacious rooms with indoor and outdoor areas.

‘Our vision for the new AHM was to create a space that feels like an intergalactic escape, or ‘a lunar landing’, inviting attendees to transcend the earthy confines and enter a realm of cosmic wonder’, Carl Gerges tells SceneNoise.

Now located at Beirut Waterfront, the revamped AHM’s high-end aesthetics and enhanced functionality boast a world-class clubbing experience within a significantly expanded setting, featuring a new taste-making program created to showcase the city’s diverse sounds and bubbling subcultures.

‘The new building is designed as a black concrete box, where we incorporated radical and industrial aesthetics that embraces that duality of beauty and ugliness of Beirut’s reclaimed waterfront, while also fostering a connection to the past’, Carl Gerges shares with SceneNoise.

The freshly designed space is welcoming back some of AHM’s staple party series such as the techno soiree 2ND SUN, Love Night, with its playful nod to 80s disco, and House of Pop, whilst bringing a slew of prominent global electronic acts, like Mathame, Birds of Mind, and Inneallea to perform over summer.

Meanwhile, this season AHM will see the debut of new event platforms like GLOW, which is a summer spectacle of music and dance from House of Pop as well as afro-house music brand Milkshake.
