Cairo’s IASC to Host Day Party at The Colour Factory in London Aug 22
Marking the collective's London encore, the party will feature Algerian DJ Seksu, alongside IASC's founders Lana, The StALIon, and Femaledjkhaled.
Following the success of their Southbank Centre showcase in London earlier this month, Cairo-born music collective IASC is going for an encore with a day party at prominent London nightclub The Colour Factory on August 22nd.
Founded by three friends and DJs, Lana, Aly Khalifa (aka The Stalion), and Noor (aka Femaledjkhaled), IASC started out as a joint birthday party before quickly evolving into one of the most talked-about party series in Cairo’s alternative clubbing scene. The collective has since garnered a cult following both in and outside of Egypt with its bouncy, uplifting sound, which often blends afrobeats, amapiano, baile funk, Jersey club and UK garage, stitched together with cheeky Y2K Arabic pop and mahraganat cuts.
Titled ‘I Lied I Love Being Outside’, the collective’s upcoming day party -hosted by London artist and MC KAS! -will be headlined by London-based Algerian DJ and founder of grassroots queer SWANA club night Bledi, Seksu. He is known for his curated mixes of iconic club tracks and anthems from across the SWANA region. He will be joined by the three masterminds behind IASC, Lana, Femaledjkhaled and The Stalion, alongside a live tabla affair by DJABBAR.
Tickets are available via the link in IASC’s bio.
