Cheen & Sintax Channel NU Metal on Collaborative Single ‘Mesh 7atigi’
Massive Scar Era’s Cheen and producer Sintax fuse gritty nu-metal with Egyptian grooves on 'Mesh 7atigi'.
In an unexpected but perfectly fluid collaboration, pioneering Egyptian rocker Cheen, frontwoman of Massive Scar Era, has joined veteran producer Sintax for 'Mesh 7atigi'," a track that fuses lush guitars, guttural growls, and infectious grooves.
While Sintax is widely recognised for his footprints in rap and electronic music, this release marks a departure from his signature sound. Here he weaves electronic drums, a massive Reese bass, and atmospheric loops into a framework that pivots seamlessly into a quintessential metal arrangement during the chorus.
Cheen also finds a natural home in this sonic landscape, layering her melodic vocals over crisp, modern Egyptian rhythms, lush guitar work, and hypnotic instrumentation. The release is paired with a music video directed by Bouhdist. Set in an abandoned warehouse, the visual features Cheen on multiple instruments, with cinematography and grading that perfectly capture the track's fiery energy.
