Egypt’s UTH Festival Launches Open Call for Rising Independent Artists

Whether you're a rapper, singer, musician or a full band, this is your opportunity to get your voice heard. SceneNoise has teamed up with UTH Festival and Nescafé On-The-Go to launch a competition for Egypt’s next generation of independent music talent at the festival’s 2026 edition this November 20th-21st at the Grand Egyptian Museum.

3. UTH Festival has grown into a meeting point for Egypt’s youth culture scene, spanning film, fashion, creator culture and music, and bringing local acts into the same orbit as industry tastemakers and global figures. For its 2026 edition, the festival is sharpening its focus on the regional underground, handing the mic over to ten breakthrough artists.

Ten selected acts will earn a spot to perform live across two days. The winner will receive a professionally produced music video, full studio and production support, and curated industry exposure, with additional perks yet to be announced.

To enter, artists need to upload a 60 to 90-second performance video, state their name, age, artist alias, and social handles, and give a brief overview of their sound.

Submissions close on November 12th, with application links and regulations accessible directly via UTH Festival's Instagram bio.
