Factory People Announces Open Call for Berlin Beirut Express

Beirut’s Factory People and Goethe Institut have announced an open call for a new cycle of their exchange project, Berlin Beirut Express, a platform dedicated to supporting emerging producers and live performers across Lebanon. 

The Berlin Beirut Express was initially launched in 2016 to support the alternative live scene in Lebanon. The new edition of the programme aims to support homegrown talents to develop their craft, and grow their profile and reach through a series of curated events and workshops led by key figures from the industry. The programme also includes an exclusive session with a Berlin-based producer.

Participants will get to perform at the iconic Reunion, the daughter of the region’s first electronic club, The Basement, located at The Grande Factory building. 

The selected winner of the Berlin Beirut Express competition will get to record a full EP at The Basement Studios in Beirut. Applications for the current cycle are open until Thursday, September 18th. You can apply through the link in @factory.people’s Instagram bio.
