Rap of the Week | Feb 3 - 10

For this edition of Rap of the Week, we’re bringing you the latest releases from some of the biggest hip-hop stars in the region. Spanning a variety of genres and sounds, the playlist features new music from Wegz, Didine Canon, Sakt and more.

Leading the lineup is the second single from Egyptian rapper Wegz’s highly anticipated debut album, 'Gadwal El Darb'. Following 'Ana', Wegz stays true to his signature style over a Moustafa Moustafa beat, exploring themes of superiority while taking shots at his peers and contemporaries. The track is accompanied by a visually striking music video that encapsulates its themes in an unconventional way.

Also featured on the playlist is 'KLB', the latest track from rapper-singer Seif Mrdeny in collaboration with producer Riff. With a head-turning instrumental, Riff creates an eclectic soundscape that allows Seif to deliver commanding bars over the high-energy beat.

Rounding out this week’s selection, we have new music from Showkey ('5 Shar'), Hleem Taj Elser ('Vivian'), and Khaled Rossia ('Ya Leil').
