Rap of the Week | May 19 - May 25

As Eid celebrations approach, the region’s hip-hop scene continues to see a steady stream of new releases from some of its notable artists. In the latest edition of our Rap of the Week playlist, we spotlight standout tracks from TIF, Dizzy Dros, Nadine El Roubi and Lege-Cy.

French-Algerian rapper TIF has finally released his highly-anticipated album, Savashuia, while Moroccan rap heavyweight Dizzy Dros made his long-awaited comeback with Aflam, his first album in almost 13 years.

Egyptian-Sudanese artist Nadine El Roubi teams up with Saudi-American rapper NORY on the punk-inflected Enemy of the State, from their collaborative EP NUCLEAR. Meanwhile, Egyptian producer Omar Keif closes out the first instalment of his upcoming debut album with Mafhoom, an introspective cut featuring Lege-Cy and accompanied by a cinematic music video starring Hassan Malek.
