Rap of the Week | Oct 6 - Oct 12

We’re back with a new edition of ‘Rap of the Week’, SceneNoise’s flagship playlist spotlighting standout new releases from across MENA’s rap and hip-hop scene, with this week’s selection bringing together regional heavyweights, local favourites and rising voices, including Fawzi, Felukah, Mocci, ISSAM, and Nahir.

BLTNM’s Fawzi & Al Nather team up on ‘VISA’ to explore being misunderstood across borders, while Felukah taps into rapid flows on ‘Green Calyx’. Moroccan artist Mocci links with Egyptian rapper Moscow on ‘Tbanli’, combining melodic hooks with sharp verses, and ISSAM returns with the genre-blending track ‘Star Dancer’. Meanwhile, French-Algerian rapper Nahir pairs up with Mc Artisan on ‘Sel3a’.

The playlist also features JO6A’s ‘ME7WAR ELKOON’, $AVAGE’s ‘FESTEK’, MOUSV’s ‘NIPSEY HUSSLE’, MONTIYAGO’s ‘ANAN’, Abdu B and Daffy’s ‘Lamooni’, and ZDAN alongside GAZZAR on ‘MASL7A’, rounding out another snapshot of the region’s ever-shifting rap landscape.
