Sudanese Singer Mustafa the Poet Releases New Single ‘Gaza is Calling’
The song is accompanied by a short film starring Bella Hadid and MC Abdul, with all proceeds going to the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund.
Sudanese-Canadian singer and songwriter Mustafa the Poet has just released a new single ‘Gaza is Calling’ to raise funds for Palestinian children in Gaza.
Initially written and recorded in 2022, ‘Gaza is Calling’ features emotive and mournful lyrics, which Mustafa wrote about a Gazan kid that he grew up with during his childhood. The track is accompanied by a short film, starring Palestinian-American model Bella Hadid alongside Palestinian rising rapper MC Abdul, as well as scenes of Palestinian children, Israa and Younes amidst the rubbles in Jenin. Directed by Palestinian filmmakers Hiam Abbas and Sakir Khader, the film is co-produced by Omar Albach and Nicolas Jaar. All proceeds accumulated from the track’s sale will be donated to the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund.
