Syrian Cassette Archives Hosts Charity Event ft. Lynn Adib & More

Celebrating the victory of the revolution in Syria, and the recent ceasefire announcement in Gaza, Syrian Cassette Archives is hosting a special charity event on January 19, 2025, at the Agenor Hotel in the historic Bab Sharqi neighbourhood of Damascus. The evening will feature performances by Syrian artist Lynn Adib, reggae band TootArd (featuring Yamen Mekdad, cofounder of the Archives), and Syrian indie group Tanjaret Daghet.
This evening of music and solidarity will raise funds for the Association of Detainees and Missing Persons of Sednaya Prison, supporting the families of those still imprisoned or missing. The event will unite music, activism, and community in the heart of Damascus, bringing together a diverse crowd to honour Syria’s enduring spirit in the face of adversity.
