Tawsen Drops Reflective EP ‘Boy Don’t Cry’
With ‘Baby Don’t Cry’, Tawsen continues to explore new sounds while remaining true to his identity.
Tawsen begins 2025 with a personal touch through his new EP ‘Baby Don’t Cry’. After a successful summer with the hit song 'Dawini', the Moroccan artist returns with a more introspective project. The five-track EP combines melancholic sounds with reflective lyrics, offering a mood suited for winter's colder, quieter days. Sung in French, Arabic and Italian, the EP reflects Tawsen’s musical identity.
The standout track of the EP is 'Cicatrice', a piano-driven song that explores Tawsen's relationship with life’s emotional scars, reflecting on how they evolve from burdens to symbols of resilience and acceptance. The music video for 'Cicatrice' is shot in a single take, capturing Tawsen as he shaves his head - an act that symbolises renewal and a return to his roots.
Tawsen’s rise in the pop scene has been steady, with previous releases like ‘Al Warda’, ‘Al Mawja’ and ‘Al Najma’ making an impact. He’s also had success with his independent label SAWT, which released Ne3ne3 Radio and the chart-topping 'Dawini'. With ‘Baby Don’t Cry’, Tawsen continues to explore new sounds while remaining true to his identity.
