We Tried to Interview Dr. Alfons

In our latest conversation with Dr. Alfons, we aimed to uncover the inspiration behind his newest single, ‘Cigara’. Instead, we found ourselves swept into a whirlwind of banter and playful commentary that left us with more questions than answers. The artist, known for pioneering the tongue-in-cheek genre of electromantic, has recently transformed from a beloved puppet character into a fully fleshed (pun intended) live-action persona, complete with an ultra-realistic face mask.

Throughout our chat, Dr. Alfons shared that he doesn't like to talk about himself, but took pride in the amazing work he's done. We filmed by the piano, where he reminisced about his relationship with the instrument, describing it as a feeling that resonates deeply. His playful nature was evident when discussing how he stays fit - his routine includes waking up, drinking coffee and showering multiple times.

As he delved into the making of ‘Cigara’ and his upcoming album, it became clear that he continues to blur the lines between whimsy and profound storytelling, engaging audiences in a unique experience that reflects his playful yet sincere artistic ethos. With every moment, Dr. Alfons reminded us that music is not just an art form but a means to connect, celebrate, and, of course, shake your booty.
