radio.syg.ma Releases 'In Solidarity With Palestine' Compilation

Amidst the ongoing tragedies unfolding across Palestine, radio.syg.ma has released a 69 artist compilation called ‘In Solidarity With Palestine’. Released via bandcamp, the compilation is spearheaded by radio.syg.ma, a community platform for mixes, podcasts, live recordings and releases by independent musicians, sound artists and collectives.

Each of the 69 tracks range in length and genre and language, delving into various highly experimental soundscapes, exoloring fragmented noises, disjointed instruments, and going as far as diving into musique concrète, defined as a type of music composition that utilises recorded sounds as raw material.

All proceeds derived from this compilation will be channelled directly towards local organisations in coordination with Palestinian activist group Gaza Coalition, as well as to families and individuals uprooted in Rafah. The primary objective is to provide immediate assistance to alleviate the Palestinian cause by facilitating their acquisition of tents, alleviating rent burdens and fulfilling basic necessities.
