Meet Proevent, the Orchestrators Behind Nobu Egypt's Grand Opening

As Nobu Egypt welcomed its first guests in a ceremony that captured the attention of Egypt's entire hospitality and F&B sectors, it was homegrown brand Proevent that was quietly orchestrating this grand gathering down to the last detail.

"Entrusted with the complete production of Nobu Egypt's opening, we knew that creating an event worthy of the Nobu name meant putting together a show that could make a statement on any global stage, and not just the local scene," says Proevent Founder Mido Ahmed. After all, the opening of Nobu New Cairo marked a milestone for Egypt’s luxury hospitality sector by introducing this globally renowned brand to Cairo for the first time, and it had the kind of guest list to show for it. Chef Nobu Matsuhisa himself attended the opening in person.

"Our approach was to create an experience that reflected Nobu’s global prestige while celebrating its arrival in Egypt," adds Ahmed. "We wanted to create not just an opening event, but a statement. This meant combining a refined design approach and guest flow with carefully curated entertainment, including through lighting and music."

As a full-service events agency, Proevent manages every event from initial ideation to its final execution. This process is perhaps not unique in itself, but working in an industry like Proevent's means that they have to deliver luxury events tailored to each client’s vision, whether they are intimate celebrations or large scale corporate and brand experiences. "What differentiates Proevent is that we don’t rely on templates," says Co-founder Ismail Kaoud. "Every concept is developed specifically for the client, their audience and their objectives."

Since their founding 2017, they've worked across a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects across the hospitality, luxury, real estate, automotive, retail and corporate sectors from their base in New Cairo, which has taken them all across Egypt's hotspots like Sahel and Gouna. Though the Nobu Egypt opening was perhaps their most visible work yet, it's far from their only accomplishment.
