What does it take to choreograph a performance inspired by a video game? For Esports World Cup choreographer and artistic director Scarlett Avedikian, it started with her brother.
She spent hours watching Counter-Strike, studying its movement and rhythm, then turned that into the opening ceremony performance for the Esports World Cup in Paris in just two days.
Right before rushing off to catch the games, Scarlett spoke to @scenenowsaudi about translating gameplay into choreography and finding movement in esports.
