New York's Viral Dot Cakes Have Just Landed in Riyadh
So Matcha is now serving the viral dot cakes across all its Riyadh branches - and they're selling out fast.
The viral dot cakes that took New York - and social media - by storm have officially made their way to Riyadh, courtesy of homegrown café So Matcha, owned by Yara Namlah.
A single-serving cake-in-a-cup born in New York, the dot cake trend was started by Dotcakes - a mother-daughter bakery founded by Sondra and Alex Posner - and has since taken social media by storm, with their sprinkle-coated dotcups retailing at USD 11 a pop.
So Matcha's local take features fluffy vanilla cake layered with cream and finished with the signature spherical sprinkle topping. The menu also introduces two spin-off items: a dot matcha latte with cream and sprinkles, and a dot ice cream - vanilla soft serve topped with the coveted dots.
The new additions are available across all So Matcha branches, open from 6 AM to 3 AM.
