Dubai Mallathon 2026 has concluded with a record 160,475 participants, more than quadrupling turnout from its debut edition last year.
The three-month summer fitness initiative ran from June 15th to September 15th, with participants collectively logging more than 290 million steps across malls and other venues throughout the city.
More than eight malls and destinations took part this year, including Dubai Mall, Dubai Hills Mall, Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif, Dubai Festival City Mall and City Centre Deira. Dubai International Airport, DIFC and Ibn Battuta Mall also joined the programme for the first time.
The expanded edition included daily walking and running sessions alongside more than 14 weekly races. Dubai Mall also hosted a full 42.195km marathon and a 21km half-marathon as part of the closing programme.
Dubai Mallathon was first launched in 2025 by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence. Its first edition drew more than 40,000 participants.
That debut also set a Guinness World Record after 1,392 runners took part in a single mall race at Dubai Hills Mall.
