Syrian-Levantine Restaurant Naranj Café Opens Its First Dubai Spot
The Syrian-Levantine favourite has opened in Al Jaddaf with charcoal grills, fresh bread and playful takes on classic sweets.
Syrian-Levantine Naranj Café has now made its way to Dubai after opening branches in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
Set inside DoubleTree by Hilton in Al Jaddaf, the café is open daily from 12:30 PM to 3 AM by reservation, with room for around 170 guests across the indoor dining area and terrace.
The space leans into contemporary Levantine design with arched details, patterned screens and warm wood throughout. There’s also a dedicated family dining area, a separate bar serving alcoholic drinks and an open kitchen and grill where bread is baked fresh throughout the day.
The menu stays close to familiar Syrian and Levantine comfort food. Kebbeh Labanieh comes with kibbeh simmered in laban, while Borghol Be Dfin pairs red bulgur with olive oil and lamb shank. Fatteh Mousakhan layers toasted bread, chicken, sumac, onions and tahini, while the grill covers dishes like Kebab Khashkhash, Kebab Eggplant and the Naranj Mix Grill Daffat.
Desserts get a slightly more playful treatment, with Baklava Cheesecake, Kunafa Cannoli Rolls and Syrian Debes & Tahini Ice Cream all made in-house. There are also milkshakes inspired by Middle Eastern sweets, including baklava and barazek flavours.
