American basketball player Zach Lofton has signed the largest deal in Syrian basketball history with his move from Cairo's Al Ahly to Aleppo’s Al Ittihad. In a statement posted to its social media, The Crew Athlete Management - the sports agency that represents Lofton - noted that the deal was “the biggest” in Syrian basketball league history. Details were not disclosed about the contract. Fresh off capturing the Egyptian Basketball League Championship with Al Ahly and leading the African giants to a Basketball Africa League top four finish, the former NBA and G-League guard bolsters the Syrian club’s roster ahead of its upcoming finals and title run.
