NEW IN: Egyptian Couturier Sara Onsi ‘Intertwines’ Fashion With Soul
Seeking to reflect the ever-changing nature of being human, Onsi debuted a collection as versatile as it is layered.
The Collection in Three Words
“Versatile. Self-expressive. Bold” - Sara Onsi, Egyptian Fashion Designer
The Muse
“The Sara Onsi brand is all about self-expression, and how we often tend to convey our deepest thoughts with how we represent ourselves externally. This collection doubles down on our ethos. It’s about being interconnected and intertwined with the many different faces and layers that exist with one person. At its core, ‘Intertwined’ is heavily inspired by the complexity of the human psyche.”
The Collection Dissected
Onsi could not have described her collection better, seeing as it features myriad fluid silhouettes that are easy to alter, customise, and be moulded into different designs to suit different occasions and moments of self- expression. This is achieved through accessory add-ons that can be customised and changed, adjustable sleeves, and removable pieces within singular designs that allow for swift and convenient layering.
A notable aspect of the collection is the black and white palette, which Onsi intends as a message to embrace one’s duality, a notion reflected in the designs themselves, given their versatility.
Where to Wear it
While Onsi’s intentions with the collection were for its pieces to function in myriad destinations (and to suit all sorts of sartorial tastes), we here at Scene Styled simply cannot resist the temptation to suggest you pack a certain ensemble for your next masquerade ball…
The Star of the Show
…The Versa
“It takes on so many forms, it embodies the essence of the collection.”
The Brand
Launched in 2015, eponymous Egyptian label Sara Onsi has become known for its handmade embroidery, intricate lace, and one-of-a-kind silhouettes, with designs gracing A-listers and red carpets around the world.
